Absolutely loved the cozy, home-like atmosphere of this boutique hotel. the art deco details and beautiful decor added a touch of elegance to the whole place. the Parfum room was spacious and comfortable, with a king-sized bed and high ceilings that made it feel airy. the staff provided top-notch customer service and even prepared delicious homemade jams for breakfast. the gardens and pool were well-maintained, creating a lovely ambiance. Great location for exploring the bohemian and vibrant areas of Santa Teresa and Lapa.
Felt very welcome, there was nothing to complain about.

The staff. Ms Luciana is a must as well as her staff. Mr Nelson is amazing. He tried to help us much as he could. The hotel atmosphere is great!
There is no room service. I used to come late at night and there wasn´t a room service available. The price was different from a e-booking.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Amarelo, and it was truly one of the nicest places I've ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was staying in a beautiful home rather than a boutique hotel. the decor, furnishings, and art deco details were exquisite, and the interior design of the entire place was impressive. the Parfum room where I stayed was incredibly comfortable, with a king-sized bed and high ceilings that made the room feel light and airy. They went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, including allowing me to check in late and even preparing a delicious breakfast with homemade jams in the morning. the gardens and pool were also delightful, providing a peaceful and relaxing environment. I would highly recommend Casa Amarelo, especially for couples looking for a special getaway.
Nothing 🙅♀️

Way out of expectation, in a better way of course. I was traveling for business. I booked Casa Amarelo bascially because all other good hotels were booked up due to some festival in Rio de Janeiro. Casa Amaerlo offers a reasonable price with reasonable distance to the businesses I was to visit. And to my surprise, my stay at the casa turned out to be fantastic. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The design and decoration are modern with great artistic tastes. It was a good sideview of the sea and a large, clean rooftop pool with great privacy. I would say it's perfect for lovers, couples and family.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like we were staying in a luxurious, stylish home. The decor and furnishings were absolutely stunning, with art deco details throughout. Our room, the Parfum room, was incredibly comfortable, with a king-sized bed and high ceilings that made it feel light and airy. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even preparing a delicious breakfast with homemade jams. The gardens were lovely, and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool. The location was perfect, with easy access to both a lively party area and a more relaxed, artistic neighborhood. We would definitely recommend this hotel to couples looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.
This place is more like a B&B or guesthouse rather than a traditional hotel. However, we would still highly recommend it to families.

The hotel is excellently located in a peaceful neighbourhood next to Lapa, with easy access to the main area of Santa Teresa, surrounded by wonderful gardens. The staff is friendly and provides great advise on local sightseeing. Furthermore, the breakfast is lovely and the hotel facilities are clean.
Could not be improved in any way.

The hotel had great decor and comfortable rooms. The location was convenient for exploring the city and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Our room was lacking in some amenities and there was no snack bar or refreshments available. We also found the check-in policy to be outdated and inconvenient for travelers who arrive late.

The breakfast, friendly staff, local sightseeing advice, beautiful old building, lovely style and layout, good internet.
Nothing, no complaints at all.

Loved the calm luxury of the French design, the authentic feel of the old building, and the Brazilian hospitality. Exploring two different sides of Rio - a great combo! The art de vivre experience was top-notch.
Oh, and of course, who doesn't love brightly colored walls and richly polished floors? Definitely made my stay less enjoyable.

Located in an idyllic and serene residential area, a taxi ride away from the hustle-bustle of the city. the hotel is set in a charming neighborhood, close to Lapa, with various good restaurants nearby. the room was good sized, comfortable bedding and decent amenities including a minibar. the breakfast spread was delicious with plenty of options worth having.
The in-room WiFi connectivity was weak and unreliable.

Loved staying in the heart of a lively neighborhood, great for exploring and trying new things. the hotel's tropical garden was stunning and the pool had a fantastic view. the rooms were beautifully decorated and the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating.
The noise from neighboring parties was a bit much at times, but earplugs helped. the transportation arranged by the hotel was costly and not punctual, so using a different mode of transportation might be a better idea.
